My Car feels like it's Brand New

Had the time to change all my belts, flush all the fluids and all I can say it feels like a brand new car. Miles on it when I did the change 87865 and cant wait to drive this car till it reach 200k... (Man thats a long way.) I highly recommend doing the trans fluid. That made a big difference on my transmission. When ever the car shifts its all smooth with no lag and no jerking.

This is what I bought for preparing for a timing belt change. Of course me being me I like to get OEM parts because they last long. I would recommend getting a OEM water pump.

13568-09080 // Timing Belt
13505-20010 // Idler Sub Tensioner
13503-0A010 // Idler Sub
90311-38034 // Seal <<<<Need 2
90311-40022 // Seal
90916-03129 // Thermostat
16325-62010 // ^^^^ Gasket
16100-29085 // Water Pump
90916-02401-83 // V-Belt
90080-91088-83 // Power Steering Belt
I will also will be doing a trans, coolant and oil flush. It's your choice if you want to do these.
00272-SLLC2 // Toyota Pink Coolant <<<<< Need 2
90915-YZZD1 // OEM Oil Filter

Cool I should flush my coolant soon, when it gets hotter.

Did you do the belts yourself?

Did you source the parts from the local dealership? I stumbled across this link, 1st time I seen it as a kit
http://www.piranamotorsports.com/servle ... ota/Detail

Regarding tranny fluid, are you 5sp or auto? I'm 5sp, and when I got my car it had regular tranny fluid. Cold mornings suck, couldn't shift into reverse. Drained and filled with synthetic gl-4 and it's sooo much better, but freezing mornings still not smooth till warmed up.

lol, this video rocks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0PHG88NW68

The Timing belt was done by my uncle since I don't trust myself doing it yet. Everything else I did.

Everything was bought from the dealership and unfortunately I'm auto :( . But, it's ok... as I said before reliability wise this is the best car I have ever bought.

All the parts and everything came around $650. If I did that at the dealership we probably be way over 1K.... so I save a few hundred bucks. Which lead me to buy that CP-E Intake 8) Still needs to be installed....waiting for a minor part.

I did some more searching on the web for kits, and they all seem to come in under $300. However, they're not "Toyota" brand. They're probably OEM though. I gotta look into their warranty. Not like Toyota has a long warranty on their waterpump. 1yr unlimited miles. Meh...

my car has over 160k miles now and still feels like a new car.
i have done the auto transmission fluid change and added a transmission fluid cooler which can be done for cheap and is well worth it. I also used amsoil synthetic transmission fluid. And I installed all new suspension when i lowered it and new brakes (advance auto's upgraded "lifetime warranty" rotors suck, i need to get some oem, brembo, or powerslot).
Still need to do the timing belt/water pump and seals, thanks for the part numbers.

The local Toyota stealership tried to sell me "Transmission Fluid Exchange" and "Coolant System Exchange" both are around $149.95 each. The SA said that the tranny fluid exchange machine will swap out ALL of the fluid not partial. Is this the same as a "flush" and has anyone done this at a Toyota dealership? Also, they had "Fuel Injection and Throttle Body Service". I know what the throttle body service is but does anyone know how they clean the injectors? Is it just dumping some BG product or other additive into the tank? Anyway, I couldn't afford these services but I wantedto see if anyone else recommends it. Thanks!

Here's something I did when I did my coolant drain and refill. Got this from Import Tuner a few months ago.

Nevermind the other articles. The top one is the only relevant article.

I did the transmission fluid change and it definitely feels better when shifting.

Thanks! I may consider the fluid exchange over standard fluid drain/refill.

I drive most stop and go and in hot weather in Palm Desert.

Just curious on the coolant, you bought 2 bottles, but used about 1.25. Would you sell me your leftover coolant?
