Hit the damn curb....

Hit the damn curb....

was being careless and hit the curb. got extremely upset cause this never happens and im usually very careful. was going less than 5mph but still felt a good jolt upon impact. my alignment still seems about the same and havent noticed any problems (other than prominent scratch on rim). Is this worth having checked out? ive been told that it usually takes multiple or hard (10mph) impacts to ruin alignment/tires. any specific things i should be looking for?

You may want to take it and have it spun on a balancer if you notice ride vibration at certain speeds or steering wheel shimmy. Chances are the wheel is fine because you hit at such a low speed. There are places that do rim repair that can fix that scratch.

Don't be too upset. It happens to the best of us. I would get an allignment done... if you have not done it in a while or if you have a lifetime, then I would defnitely go.

any time you hit something that you're not supposed to hit ruins the alignment.

whether it be curbs, parking bumpers, squirels, cats, dogs, babies... just get it re-aligned.

as what others have said, discount tire offers lifetime alignment.
