I keep have check engine light came out that says my cat-converter is work under efficient thredhold. I wonder if i change my cat to this might help?

and i wonder how does my damn ECU know my cat doesnt work well? If i hollow it out, the check engine light might came out more?

Hello Joseph,
It's the O2 sensor after the cat that is telling the ECU or PCM that something is not to spec.

Your CAT could just be going bad so get a high flow cat and you set like you said.

Joseph, solarat is spot on. The O2 sensor reports back the condition. It may not be that your cat is bad. If you are running too rich which we frequently do at the high end for some reason, too many fuel particles get past the catalytic converter and the O2 sensor reports that. Do you have a WBO2 sensor? If so, check it near red-line. I had the same problem. When I fixed the over-rich condition, the error didn't come back. If you run too rich for too long, it can damage the cat. If you decide to hollow out the cat, you definitely will get an ECU error resulting in a CEL. The way around that is with an O2 simulator. -JoeB

I found additaional info here. it seens the voltage of the stimulator will make difference

also when u pull a code from the rear o2 sensor, if the cat were not there.. does it pull timing?

sorry i dont have time to install it yet. i will install it by this weekend. but theortically it should work. it is a commen code amog force inductioned cars such as eclipse and wrx.
