Does anyone have the DIY for replacing the CAM & CRANK Seals?

The crank seal is really easy except the timing belt has to be taken off, the front cam seal wont be to hard, will have to remove valve cover probably or impact the bolt loose before removing timing belt. The rear cam seal will be a bitch, you will have to loosen moter mounts and roll engine forward just to be able to get to it, I suggest loosening cam bolts before removing timing belt then tightening/torquing after belt is put back on. Ive done it on two V6 camrys so far. 1MZ-FE is non-interference so there is room for error unlike most engines.

well i would get a small mirror on an extension so you can easily line up the lines with the cam gears while putting the belt back on with the crank at TDC. That is the hardest part at the end, but I would also get a small tool similiar to an ice pick but smaller to take the seals out. The crank and front cam seal you will be able to get to and pull out no problem, just be careful not to even touch the cam or crank on the inside of the seal. Any scratch could cause a permanent oil leak. The back one is where you really need to be careful and pry the seal out towards the outside of the seal not the inside with the pick and you could use like a pvc pipe or something to drive the new seal back in. The other two should be easy to get in. Overall its pretty easy just a real bitch and it will be time consuming. Just make sure to line the cam gears up and triple check it because the belt it kind of a bitch to get back on and the gears always like to turn a little when putting the belt on. Also I hate the hydraulic tensioner, you will need a vise to squeeze it back in before putting it on at the end. Thats about it. Good luck.
