Postby SC V6 » Tue Aug 31, 2004 1:12 pm

I noticed that on my car if I rev it up in neutral, or take it over 4000 rpm's in first or second I get this weird noise... its almost like a buzz sound.. but only for a sec... I checked and its not coming from the engine compartment... I thought maybe it was my extension for my intake making the noise.. anyone have any ideas???

You don't have a CAT anymore right? The buzz could be coming from that as you rev up higher.

I was guessing the CAT also. Ran my previous car rich (due to a spark miss) and the CATS started rattling at high RPM shortly before they blew apart and clogged the exhaust system.
