question for all you guys and gals that go through those below 0 winters, what kind of oil do you use? been using mobil racing oil, should i go back to 5w30 in lieu of those freezing cold starts in the am?
i don't know what i'm doing, i just make it up as i go

wow.

i would recommend 5-30 for cooler tempretures.

im still at 15-40 (red cap,) but next one will be going back to 10-30.

You should definately be using 5w-30 for the cooler temperatures. I'm in NJ, and the winters can be very cold. I use 10w-30 in the summertime(optional) and 5w-30 for fall/winter.

The manual states that if you expect the temperature to go below 32 degrees F then you shoul use 5w-30

I tried to run straight 30 last winter and the car labored to start when the temp was below 30. I ran 10W30 and it was fine.
