Moonroof issues... HELP!

Moonroof issues... HELP!

Is this car jinxed or what? I've never had half this much problems with my Accords. I bought the Solara because of the bad rap about the auto trannies on the Accords. Anywho, here's my problem...

Apparantly, the frame rail guide piece adheres to the roof skin with some high speed adhesive from the factory. Well, mine is unadhered and makes a clangy sound when it is open. Sounds like loose metal in there (it is :D ). I took it to the premier moonroof place here-- not some fly by night, ghetto joint; these guys do the new cars for dealers. They said they have an adhesive, but are unsure it is as good as the factory stuff, which came undone!! He advised a dealer do it because they can get the bonding/sealant. Well, two dealers said "We farm that out..." The dealer I use said they could do it for $240, BUT when I talked to the parts dept., they said they had no listing for any adhesive and were clueless.

I called the tops place back and he said he would do it if he could get some Perma Bond (???) in there. Basically, all the interior plastic has to come out to get the headliner off. I only want to do this thing ONCE so any advice is appreciated. BTW, the trim shop the other dealers used is a mobil service that I've used and I wasn't impressed at all. What fun... It seems no one wants to work on the roof. Opinions??
