Solara equivalent?

Are solara sold outsite us/canada ?

Is there a japan or european equivalent to the solara ?

there is none.

solaras were originally made in Canada.

Solara's are north american limited. THere are septors (camry coupe's) from 1994-1996 which were available abroad and here in states as well. But as far as other countries, from what we know here Solara's have made their way to Russia (russianguy), India (new delhi - my last visit ther), United Arab Emirates (yep, saw one there too). So i'm sure there are more people to exported solara from stateside, not all of them are here on this site!

The soarers were brought over as Lexus SCs

As far as I know, all Soarers were RWD, so its more Supra than Solara

Yes, the Soarer is identical to the SC coupe (except of course for the RHD and the available stock turbo). Our Solara is nothing like the SC, except for a few odds and ends shared by many Toyota's and Lexus vehicles.

Camry has always had name as camry,

Solara has nothing to do with scepter, scepter is old camry (MCV10) which known as gen 3 camry here. 92-96

Solara's chasis number is MCV20 for v6, SXV20 for I4
99-03 solara share the chasis with 97-02 camry (JDM Gracia), 97-02 Lexus ES300 (JDM Windom).

btw, i think solara never made to Asia? Thats why our aftermarket parts are so limited

Yup and any Solaras outside the US are imported

That's sad, because I think there could be a market for the Solara outside North America. I saw Camrys all over Europe (gen 4) and in Prague I saw Accord coupes all over the place. Peugeot makes a coupe that looks similar to the Solara, and they apparently sell well too. It would sure help the aftermarket parts department.

Not officially by toyota though!
in 2003 - I myself have seen a DPW Solara (SLE or was SE v6) on Agra-Dehi Highway, with D plates (meaning Delhi plates). So someone has exported a solara from here all that way to India!

Not to mention in 2000 i saw a Solara in Dubai, United Arab Emiraets as well.

We know Russianguy exported his from here to russia. So there are three of the few more (we may not know about) that did and are in Asia!
