Brake Lights

For some reason my brake light keeps on coming on. My handbrake isn't up or anything. It just shows up sometimes than it goes away and comes back again. Any ideas guys?

this has been discussed many times before. try using the search button... but here is a hint. brakes are worn, or you might need brake fluid. check.

Check the fluid level in the resevoir cup. It might be low. But look there first.

My light was coming on too, early in the morning or late at night, especially if the car had been sitting for a while. Fluid looked good, but I added as much as I could, and now the light has gone off. Try that...and still inspect your front brake pads.

i am having exactly the same problem as you right now, the brake light come on and off either when i make really sharp turn or when i break really hard or just comes up whne it feels like it lol.
does anyone know if the brake light that comes on relates to the the front and back brakes or just the back brakes?

most likely your front pads, but maybe both your front and rear pads... try checking your fluid level, if your fluid level is low it sometimes means that your pads are wearing down so its using more fluid or something like dat... had the same problem before...
