Problems with SHOCKS!!!

i searched this topic already and didn't find what i was looking for. I do remember reading some info on the problem im having well over a year ago. Maybe you guys could help me out.

I just installed TOkico Blue Shocks in my Gen1 Solara today and the ABS light is on now. Mechanic put it through the computer and it says Right Rear and Left Rear Sensor Error.

if any of u guys got some info on this for me. i would greatly appreciate it. I need some more info to back up my battle with the mechanic to fix this.

Thanks in advance,

the abs sensor is attached to the axle, and they probably ripped some wires out while installing the STRUTS... u should tell them to replace it since its an install error

you should be in trouble.

our cars dont use shocks.

they're called struts.

most likely your mechanic or whoever put them in has damaged the line for the abs sensor. pluck them from a junkyard or somewhere.

:drinking: my fault... the struts that my mechanic installed ... anyway he never removed them from the hub, so is it still possible for it to get damaged ?

and on another note, how much would this run me to get this fixed? which im gonna try with all i got to get the mechanic to replace because it was his fault.

if he never removed them from the hubs then yes it's a 90% chance it's ripped. when i installed my springs, i took them off so yea, nothing happened. u should get it fixed.

it looks like a bottle cork, with a flange. its made of plastic and is gray in color.
there are 2 screws that holds the flange to secure the sensor in. i think the screws are 10mm.

how do the ABS sensors go for? I think mines are bad. since the light came on after the installation of the new struts.
