Window coming open at highspeed.

Window coming open at highspeed.

This keeps happening on my 99 SLE. Around 135 you can hear it starting to let air in. Once you hit around 145 it comes open about 1/4 inch. Only the passenger side does this. Have been looking at the seal and everything but cannot figure it out. Anyone seen this before?

Also the window is not loose by any means I have checked that. Wonder if there is something in the molding around the top that is trapping air and pulling it out. Only thing I can think of but not sure how to fix it.

I hope you're speaking in KM per hour.... lol

Your window regulator OR motor may be bad.... that's the worst scenario.

The best would be that the regulator just needs an adjustment.

Yeah. Laugh. If you look on google you can find some nifty bypass circuits. The other thing is that i don't need my speedo as my car uses gps to provide speed (not nmea style but tsip [Updates every 200ms]). So for me it was easy anyway.

Just some quickies out of my database of trips. Since redoing the rear end of my car I can easly push it another 25 30mph around the clover without even stressing the car. Next to no body roll or lean on that sucker. Toyota is amazing.. :)
