I have a 5 sp 00 SE w/ 64k. Recently, when shifting out of second at slow speeds or ideling, I've notice a strange burning rubber smell coming from through the vents. It only happens once in a while, but it definitely happens almost every time I drive. Is my clutch going bad? The car has been to the dealer for service twice in the past 3 months and they've never mentioned anything about the clutch (even thought they've mentioned everything else!) If I need a new clutch, how much would that be? Also, Where can I order the part for a good price?

call and speak to a service writer. describe it and see if he'll give you some clue... most greedy asses won't give free advice... but it's worth a few minutes of your time.

4 or 6 cylinder? 4 cylinder had valve cover gasket leakage problem after you pass 60000 miles mark

It's a 4 cylinder. The smell is getting worse. Now it appears nearly everytime I get out of first gear.
