Mine seem to always be covered in lint and it makes them look dull. I just tried using a lint roller after vacuuming and that helped some but the seats still don't look black. Any helpful hints? :fadein:

Try a can of upholstery cleaner.

My friends have used carpet cleaner before.

I have one of these:

http://www.bissell.com/Products/product ... SE+CLEANER

When I get a new car I'll usually deep clean the whole interior. The Solara was in good shape to start with so it didn't do too much there. But on my old Corrado, the interior was so so when I got it. No damage but alittle dirty inside. The deep cleaner pulled so much coffiee out of the seats and rugs it wasn't even funny. Took me a whole day, but by the time it dried the seats and carpet looked like new. With light cleaning here and there, the seats still looked perfect when I sold it.

I know what you mean..i have a sweater comb, its a comb for removing lint from sweaters, works more harsher than an lint-removing-roller. Not to mention, once a year car goes to spa (inside detail..there is where they remove everything i couldn't get out).

my seats are so bad my detailer was confused ... lol

he got most of the crap off it, though

normally, when i do it myself, i try the lint roller... which doesn't work too well unless you're rolling the crap out of it. My detailer used a face towel and some warm water (wet the towel and squeeze all the water out) and rub it down... it gets most of it out and it's about the same amount of work as using the roller, except it works hahaha

Just leave the windows open for the seats to dry up

This works great for picking up lint and goosh feathers from bubble jackets off of the velor seats. They sell them at target or Kmart i couldn't find it on the online store but they have them.
