removing etched outline of emblem after shaving

i guess some of us had more etching than others. any adhesive remover will get rid of the stickyness left behind, but only a clay bar would get rid of the really rough, hard outline. in fact, it was so hard that i thought my paint had been rusted.

I had some etching around the emblems(its actually the paint coming off) and i found something that works wonders its called Scratch X and its a very very weak acid that....liquifies.... the paint and makes it cover up the little white spots. It works wonderfully. I have a 99 and the Solara on the bakc looked really bad but after a couple times of applying this scratch x and then waxing it, it looks absolutly wonderful.

Hmm..I think Ill need that scratch X, Clar bar, and swirl remover...Then my all time pain...the Waxing..

you shouldnt need the scratch x

The thing with the Scratch X, if you use it, that you stay there with it because even though it is a very mild acid(when you first do it you might not notice a difference) if you leave it on it would prolly start to take off a noticable amount of your paint. so just make sure that you wipe off everything that you put on and then put wax over the spot that you just did...it comes out really nice.
