What does it mean when your brake light goes on? The same brake light as your e-brake. Its been on for a week or so and i havent have time to look at anything. I'm thinkin low brake fluid? Any helpful suggestions is appreciated. thnx

if adding DOT3+ fluild doesn't solve your BRAKE light, then it could be pad wear!

My rear brake light out indicator light comes on about every 2 weeks and the bulbs are fine. This may be different than the "Brake" light.

Haven't searched but I think there may be a continuity or contact problem.

The rear brake bulbs are dual fillament bulbs, meaning they light up normally for driving lights and brighter while braking. Have someone in the car depressing the brakes and you check the tails. Its a tough DIY to check yourself unless your creative. FYI: i place a hammer to depress the brakes and set up seats way up close to posiotion the hammer and then check which bulb(s) are gone.

Yeah, I placed a dumbell on the brake pedal and took the interior panels off to check each filament. Usually, I remove the bulb and place it back in and the problem is gone. Other times, I just cycle the ignition and the dash light clears.
