5sfe guys - long neck oil filters any good?

FYI: i have a 1mz and a 5sfe and always buy OEM filters (each engine has its own different filter). In my last oil change i realized that i had tightened up a 1mz filter and it mated really well..needless to say, i did replace that w/ a 5sfe filter but there was no difference. Both seemed to have same diameter, both internals looked same..the 1mz filter was taller...(guessing better filtration). I know 5sfe celica guys at times use 90-94 4runner filters, but what do you guys use for "TALL / LONG NECK" filters, if any. Any true benifits of using tall filters really? (other than easier to remove when next oil change comes LOL).

for my 5s-fe camry i use the 2az-fe engine filters. From the outside they look diff.. but the 2az-fe filter is a little bit longer. But i think the iternals are the same. I've been using it for a while now and never had any problems and the filter works great.

I dont really see a big diff as far as improvment.. but its good for me since i can buy just one filter and use them on both my solara and camry...
