Fixed my brake squeel!!
I finally figured it out. I noticed unusual edge wear on the wear surface of the pads. I looked on the rotor and on the inner and outer edges, there are small raised "lips". The brake pad surface doesnt actually cover the entire rotor so rust forms on the face that is not in contact with the pads. This raised rust would barely rub on the pads causing an irritating whine at half brake. The noise would go away at full brake. The *RIGHT* fix: have your rotors turned or even take some sand paper and sand down the lips on the rotor. *MY* fix (not the right way): use a grinder and grind a small beveled edge on the face of the pad. The edges will be beveled enough to not touch the rusty lip. There is no noticeable brake fade or anything. My brakes feel no different because the difference in the amount of pad touching the rotor is minimal. The result is quiet brakes!
