well i got another flat due to a pot hole i bent my rim while running over teh pot hole current rideing on 215/35 should i upgrade to 225/40s to prevent this from happening again?

i drove my car up north during the nor cal meet with 225/35 tires... nothing happened.. i think its all on the persons driving habits.. I am very careful when driving around and just pay attn to your surroundings.......

You cant avoid everything no matter how careful you are. Things like this happen. 35 series tires are really low profile. Like whats the point? You're basically rolling on rim. A pothole in the interstate managed to bend two of my rims wrapped in 215/50/17 rubber. Got them fixed by a company called Turbax Wheels and they roll like new.

it's just dependes on your luck, but in the end your wheel will get F*cked. i had 235/35 hit 2 big pot holes on the left wheel and there still prefect. but my right wheel is bent.

yeah ive bent two wheels since i had my 18's but i was running 215/35 on the wheels that were bent

i suggest going up to 225/40 or even 235/45 (stocksolara is running this no prob)

sorry to thread jack whats the biggest tire size i can go on 19"s? im thinkin maybe 225/40 is possible but im still not sure.. if i cant go taller maybe 235/35...

suggestions?
