Tint these windows?

Tint these windows?

Postby SirMacDaddy » Wed Jun 29, 2005 12:09 pm

OK, so i have been thinking about tinting my windows for a while now...i was going to get a 5% all around and then maybe a 20 or a 35% on the windshield....it would be all dark black....i know the word illegal is running through your heads, but i was wondering if it would look good on my car, its a dark green with tan interior.....http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2036503....any input would help plus if anyone has the same color with tinted windows and would like to show me, it would help a lot

You don't want to tint the windshield. 5% is too dark for my taste (I have 20% all around) but it will look sick.

Personally I like the more smokey tint on the fairway green. Check out my www. and peep my 2000 SE V6 Fairway green. Do you want though, as far as the front shield, that's pretty dangerous, be carefull with that.

I got 35% tint all around except the front windshield. Its not too dark and its not entirely see through.

On my old car I had limo tint 0% and it was on a black car with black interior (got pulled over at least once a month).......it got kinda costly paying about $125 in one shot until I sold the car, person that bought it later on removed the two front windows.

As for tinting the front, my cousin tinted his 60% and he says thats more then enough for the front windshield.

......just be prepared to be pulled over every now and then.

50%-60%, even 35% is not worth tinting because it still lets so much light through and you can barely tell the windows were tinted in the first place. Looks like stock "tint'.

Just do 15%'s all around, nothin on the windshield, unless you realy want to. That's my setup and it's sweet.

Another thing to remember is at night 5% is flippin hard to see out of as well.

I agree with 1st gen...I have 5% all around except the windshield and I get pulled over about twice a month. (luckily I have a NJ State P.B.A shield)
I know someone that works with me and he has 60% on his windshield and 5% all around and it looks hot. I think anything darker than 60% you would be blind.

^^^^ when I tinted my car I didn't want dark tint, could of gotten it as dark as I wanted it but I choose not too.

.......between the stock toyota green tint that comes factory to prevent sun damage to the interior and 35% tint on top of it, not that much sun enters unless its through the front windshield.

I have a pretty light tint on my car on all 5 windows and haven't been pulled over once. if your interior is dark...then go with a lighter tint, if it's light....(like mine) you can do alright with a slightly darker tint. On a range from 0-5 (0 being nothing, 5 being the darkest) I'm running roughly a 2 and I'm comfortable with it. But wouldn't have my windshield tinted....hella hard to see
