Can a 99' V6 manual take on a gen 2 solara, like a 2004 or 2005? they look kinda bulky and heavy.

the 0-60 of a gen 2 is somewhere from 6.6-7.0 seconds, I dunno about the gen 1's...maybe.

Gen 2 3.3L V6 Auto - 7.14 sec
Gen 1 3.0L V6 Auto - 7.86 sec

As far as the whole manual versus standard tranny thing, it'd be close but I think the Gen 2 would probably take the win.

The curb weight for the Gen 1 is listed at 3291 and the Gen 2 is 3439, so it is a little heavier. However, it's also got 25hp over the Gen 1. Like I said, it'd be close.

it will take gen2 if you are really really good driver. whoever drive the gen2 can just floor it and kill you. but thanks to the gen2 lag, you have greater chance to win

I have no problem taking my friends 04 v6 with my 01 v6 manual. It is close but I alaways seem to win. Now the new accords are a compleatly different story.

According to car and driver it's 6.9 s for auto. But their numbers are always the highest.
