I guess it really depends on the mods done to the car.

I dont know.. I just notice that when I was doing my car..

Stock was at a different rpm at 80mph
Ebay intake it was at a different rpm at 80mph
Catback with ebay was at a different rpm at 80mph
Catback with K&N was at a different rpm at 80mph
Catback with stock fitler was at a different rpm at 80mph
Catback with Injen was at a different rpm at 80mph 3,100Rpm


And most of these was when I still at the stock rims on..
DONT ASK ME WHAT RPM IT WAS ALL AT..
I DONT REMEMBER. JUST REMEMBER IT WAS FROM 100K TO 200K DIFFERENT...
I think its just how the engine has to push itself as it is given air or needing air.
A choking car will probably push higher rpm to get air then a free flow intake & exhaust car..
