I was able to access the lock nut and adjustment nut throught the slit for the parking brake. Used a magnet on a stick to remove/reinstall locking nut. Loosen locking nut with socket(10mm?), remove locking nut with magnet, adjust the nut underneath the locking nut(clockwise to take up slack I think), then reinstall and tighten locking nut. Took about 10 minutes.

Remove black trim around shifter.

Unscrew two phillips head screws holding the front of the center console down.

Open center console box and empty it out.

Pull the liner at the bottom of the box to unscrew two hex bolts.

Lift entire console up and over the parking brake to remove.

Tighten lower adjuster nut, then the upper.

Replace console (may help to have p-brake UP)
