I have always used STP oil treatment every time that I change the oil on all of my cars. Does any one know if there are any advantages or disadvantages to using this stuff?

I'm anti oil additives. Especially any PTFE or related product.

That stuff is to help compression in old engines im with flip stay away from any additives.
