it's hard to find a v6 stick solaara nowadays (especailly when youre looking for a ;99 one like me), so i thought i'd check in to pricing on a tranny swap, since it's too much damn work. anyone?

Damn so much talk about MT swaps lately. SC V6 is the resident expert on that. I was tlaking to him about it a few days ago through PM, and depending on your access to equipment and tools, your knowledge of what you're doing, and ability to get your parts for cheap it could cost anywhere from about a grand to 2 1/2 g's I'd guess. I could but wrong but that's about the idea I got from him.

On the bright side, we don't have to look for a manual Solara to rip out an MT tranny... and THAT my friend (Among other things) is why we love our cousin, the Camry.

That is correct i talked to "SC V6" too, he said about a grand to make the swap.
If you got time a money and resources; might as well do if you got the 3 i mentioned.
