hey everyone... im a new guy.. however a non solara driver.. i stumbled across this site looking for my friend who just got a 2002 silver SE V6... i was reading around and couldn't help but see this post.. its funny cause they talkinga bout this over at my forum also.. and i was thinking.. since u guys like the footwell lighting so much.. there are ways to wire it to the fader and also doors so that they open and close much easier.. the relay way is already talked about.. but there is another way.. straight into the fuse box or the sensor on the door.. or the dome light if u guys prefer... since i have a four door and four neons inside the car i wired each neon to each door.. so if the back passenger door is open then the back passenger neon is lit... just my .02.. good luck guys..

here are some pics...

Wow Awesome Job. When exactly are the lights on, when the door is open? Do you have a manual switch also?

Lights go on when either door is opened, then they fade out simultaneously with the dome. Its really cool how these neons can fade smoothly with no flickering. When im driving and when the doors are closed, the manual switch is used to operate the interior lights. Wish i learned about the fuse trick before i reattached the panel. The damn panel actually took the most time out of the whole project to complete. Nevertheless I am very pleased with the job, and ill try to get some final pics up soon.
