Another minor incident in the Solara.. Bad luck For Solaras?

I kept getting scared that many of us Solaras in general have been taking a toll in minor to major accidents. Mine was a semi minor one. On the I-10 in AZ coming up from Chandler heading to Phx. Tire debris was in the HOV lane and there were tons of it! It so happens I was trailing behind a van about 2-3car length behind. All of a sudden I saw something flying towards my driver side and took some minor evasive action as I knew i couldn't evade and was going at about 75mph in the 65mph zone. So happens it was it was a chunk of tire that smacked my driver side headlight and side of the bumper. I was in a rush to work so I didn't have time to look at it. I totally forgot about the tire hit until i came home. Took a look and dammit, a tire gunk and rubbing across the driver corner light, partially ontop of the hood and some on the lower bumper. And this was at night time so i'm kicking myself in the rear for having my lights bake the rubber onto the plastic? I used from Simple Green degreaser and some turtle wax wash soap to clean off the tire marks. Ended up having my nails dig into the plastic corner light to scrap the gunk off like crazy.

After spending almost 30mins out in the chilly air, most of the tire rubber was gone but there's still some minor rash marks in the corner light where most of the crap was that took me the most time to take off.

Any suggestions on getting the finer rubber off from the light? I'm against using a filer or sand paper. If not... uhhhh how much for a new outter plastic corner light?

Have you tried Bug and Tar emover that should work.
Or try the clay bar.
Clay bar should work better.

Man, that sucks. You could try Meguiar's PlastiX or you could probably find a new corner light on ebay for cheap.
