Don't know where you got that idea (Toyota always had two piece bra's). I know i have a bra on my 1990 celica! I like the toyota bra's; only thing you need to keep it clean underneath the bra...a lot of people told me that this would lead to discoloration and rust...i still put it on...This to note with a bra:
1. Always remove it when washing car
2. Always clean it w/ armorall or similar product to prevent cracking
3. Once a month of when time permits....hose off the bottom of the bra and let it air dry!
4. When you feel its going to rain...don't drive with it...(although my sister does drive with it..means...i'd have to wax and polish the hood more)...

Bottom line....keep it dry!....and yeah..toyota bra's are always two pieces...don't know where you got they are one piece..???

Get the toyota one

Postby RayCarlo » Fri Feb 14, 2003 10:56 am

I would say to get the toyota bra, because if you compare the two you'll see, well the last time i checked, the lebra underside is made of this hard material that can scratch your paint, while the one by toyota has a soft felt underside that will not scratch the paint. I have the toyota one now and have had no problems with it, while a friend of mine had the lebra one and that lead to a lot of little scratches on her hood.
