Help CD Stuck

Help CD Stuck

Postby denebuff » Mon Mar 20, 2006 4:47 pm

I have a 2001 Solara SLE V6 with a 6 disk stock changer,
I have a CD stuck, will not come out.
I called the dealer and was told to disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes, did that did not work.
Does any one have any ideas?

Happened to my father's Highlander witht he 6-disk cd changer.

We brought it to the dealership and got a new 6-disk changer at no cost since it was under warranty and they took out the old one with the cd's in there. Got the cd's back a few days later when they dismantled it where ever it was sent by the dealership.

If the cd is stuck in the loading process, you can try to push it in that it'll read and then pull it out after hitting the eject button or you can try hitting the eject button and pulling it out lightly with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Best of luck.

aw, that sucks. hopefully the buttons still work so you can switch it off cd to listen to something else while it's stuck.

is the cd stuck all the way in? i.e.: was it already in there and were you trying to eject, or were you loading it and it jammed up then?

if it happened while loading, then the post above may work. if it was already in there and you just can't get it to eject, you are probably going to have to take it to the dealer. i know that's not what you wanted to here.

please describe, in better detail, how the problem manifested.

MCOjerry
I added on new CD that I burned over the weekend and loaded it in the cd Monday morning, it was one of 5 already in the player.
The player was in shuffle mode playing all 5.
Everything was working fine for about and hour then I noticed it stopped and there was a E3 on the display.
Tryed to eject but nothing.
I am going to the dealer today.
The radio and tape deck still work.

Wow, yeah, the dealer is probably what it will take. That is, unless you want to try tearing it apart yourself.

So, what did the dealer say?
