I changed my tranny oil a couple of times but its still dark dark red or almost black, would this cause any decrease in speed/acceleration? Thanks

no it's fine...oil should get darker. if it doesn't then that means it's not doing it's job and there's something wrong.
did the oil have a burnt smell to it?
how much miles do u have on the car?

did you use factory oil? if not, it is possible your oil is eating up some parts and synco in your tranny

Power flush it through the dealer for 130 or at Jiffy Lube for 109. Either way get it done and then every so often do a drain and fill.

Yea thats what i need i guess. If the oil is black would it cause the tranny to shift slow, and cause the car not to accelerate that fast?

Well the slow shifting yes, the acceleration is maybe due to a clogged throttle body. Clean it out and you should be good to go.

do not do it at jiffy lube. do it at dealer...nowaday alot of newer car can use only oem fluid. you may use some surprior fluid like royal purple or redline, but you are still taking a risk that it might somewhat not competiable with your tranny.

if you feel your car significantly slower than before

check
1. if air filter is clean
2. have you changed spark plug in 60k interval
3. proper tire presssures
4. proper wheel alightments
5. did you put in some cheap fuel (which cause detonation and retard timing)
6. if throttle body is dirty
7. clean MAF sensor (dont ask me, i dont know how but heared about it)
