what is T4 transmission fluid?

What is this T4 Transmission fluid that the Toyota dealer uses? Does the Solara require this? I had my transmission fluid changed recently and the dealer said that our cars use T4 and that there is a small premium over standard ATF.

T4 is Toyota's own ATF (Automatic Tranny Fluid). It is not bad.

You dont have to worry if this is what they used.
