Trunk leak?

Trunk leak?

Postby {-_-} » Fri Mar 07, 2003 9:05 pm

I got a flat a few nights ago. When I reached for the jack my hand went into a puddle of water. The compartment where the jack is stored was filled. We had quite a bit of snow here last month and I am not sure if the melting snow caused this. Is this an isolated issue or has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

i had that problem in my previous car, but not the Solara.

If you ever open up the trunk when it rains, the rain, obviously, gets in it. The trunk, generally, stays cooler than the passenger compartment. Since there's virtually no heat, the water takes a long long time to evaporate (if it somehow gets to that point)...

Drain tubes from the moonroof go into the trunk area...and exits through the rear. That's what.
