i jus did the install and i noticed the shifters to be exactly identical except for the shaft below the pivot ball was longer. Is this the correct quickshifter? Does it say trd on it because im not sure if it really was. i'm jus assuming it is because i've never heard of n e other company making one for the solara.

That is correct. And it shoulda came with a TRD shift knob if you bought it new.
