I was getting heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 1 for a CEL, so I finally had enough and got a new one shipped to my house. I removed teh old one only to find that one of the wires was cut. Basically it was stretched apart and the wire wasn't making a connection. So I put the new o2 sensor in, and guess I'll fix the old and use it as a spare.

so if anyone gets that CEL, check the wires!

I threw the exact same code when I was home. I'll have to check those wires when I get back. Thanks for the info

I think there is something that it can rub against. I can't remember what it was though, but after been under my car for 13 hours replacing the catalytic converter (bolt broke off at the manifold).
