My brake is messed up?

My brake light has been coming on from time to time for the past 3 weeks while i'm driving, even though my e-brake is all the way down, my brake fluid is at the proper level. My brake is pretty good nothin feels different when i brake....my car is pretty much stock under the hood. its a '99 SE V6 Auto. any ideas what could be the problem..

I'd fill some more brake fluid and see what happens. If it continues, then i'd get the brakes inspected (inspections are free!).
