Tire Pressure

Tire Pressure

02 SE w/ Stock 15s and stock Bridgestone Potenza

The manual says 29, but my friend's dad (auto mechanic for about 30 years or so) said it's better to have it slightly more inflated... so I'm at about 35 PSI right now (max for the tire is 44 psi)... any bad things about having a higher psi ?
Thanks in advance

umm maybe u should run lik 32 cold air. 35 seems a bit high to me but it might be ok. i'm running 34 psi but im' suppose to be at 32. with more air in ur tires u get less traction but it might help ur tire life a bit. at the same time it might also cause uneven wear of the tires...but that i'm not sure about.

go with what the manual says, maybe a little over
another thing, make sure you check/adjust pressure when the tires are cold (ie: havent been driver for at least 3 hours, or over 2km)

35 is actually perfect. Make sure this is COLD PSI...not psi readings taken after driving a few mins.

I remember reading something in the manual about increasing the pressure if you plan to drive over 100mph. I don't remember what psi they said.
