Noise coming from right rear

Noise coming from right rear

Postby blaK » Mon Nov 06, 2006 7:10 pm

I don't know what it is. It's not a squeek or a rattle but a knocking sound if that. So I checked the rsb and it's fine but when I push down on the right rear, I hear it. Started a few days ago and it's getting worse.
Is it my strut gone bad, spring ( i hope not, they're brand new ) or need new bushing?

Please help, thanks guys

happened to me. It was bad bearings. Even though everything was on tight, the bearing and rear housing was shot. 350 dollars to buy replacement parts and installed it myself.

take it back to the shop that installed your springs, if they installed them recently.

after i had my springs installed i noticed a funny knocking noise when breaking or taking off. i took it back to the shop and find out they left a screw driver on top of my rear passenger strut. i wasnt happy.

my solara se v6 also has a noise from the rear passenger side whenever i go over a bump or pothole at low speed, first i thought it was the wheel bearing when i did a search on this forum, and i kept driving it for more than 2 years with that noise, one day, i decide to take a look at it, so i took out my wheel, then caliper, and rotor, i found the cup and spring that hold the parking brake shose fell off the pin, my guess was it was that small spring and cup bouncing around inside my rotor making those noise, and once i put them back, the noise went away.

Fixed it!!!!!!!!

It was the RSB, one of the screws were so loose that my friend could loosen the nut with his hands. He grabbed a wrench and tightned it.

Done
