i have an auto, and when im driving my e-brake indicator light comes on and off periodically. it only happens every once in a while, but its been happening more frequently. any ideas?

^^ ya when was the last time you replaced your brake pads. That happened to me when my brakes were worn, i thought there was something wrong with my e-brake, but its just time to get the pads replaced!

been a year and half. i replaced the rotors and pads at that time only like 20k miles though

in addition to checking brake pad wear, check the level of your brake fluid, you may need to top off.

I would go with brake fluid it is probably sloshing around and intermittently tripping the sensor..

On a side not just because you drive auto does not mean you should not use your e-brake. Keep using it so nothing rusts in place from disuse.

I had the same problem and took it in to have the brakes checked (they were under warraty with Midas at the time, BTW never using them again) they said it was just low brake fluid. I went home bought some brake fluid and put it in. The light has been off ever since. Except when the ebrake is on.
