Being banned for one comment seems a little extreme. I would just like for you to clarify exactly what you meant by it. My guess is that it was an innocent comment but your choice of words wasn't very good.

I really think you people need a hobby rather than take offense to someone's off-color comments, if that is what you feel they were. US "white" people have being using slang forever...so get over yourselves and let's talk about cars and not racism eh? It isn't like the guy/gal came out and say "you are all white trash" or whatever. I'm white and I just giggle that people make such a big deal over something that was probably just taken in the wrong light and then blown WAY out of proportion. Granted everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just my 2 cents.

oh and GO MN WILD! (i had to add that in there) =)

Yes, I agree.

As for the Gen 2 Solara...it's not gonna be my next purchase so it really doesn't appeal to me.

Wait and Experience

Postby OceanLake » Wed May 07, 2003 10:37 pm

We're waiting until the Solara comes out; appearance might change, and how it looks for real is what counts anyway. We have a high opinon of Toyota vehicles and almost bought a Camry. We did a lost of research and testing of 2003 vehicles; none of them made it. Sometimes it was just little things—the wood trim in the Lexus ES 300 reflected and focused the sun. The Avalon gave one of us the feeling of being in a coffin. We looked at upscale cars and decided we'd rather keep the money. We both liked the 2003 Solara but neither of us fit (torso and leg length). The search will continue.... We want comfort, safety, reliebility and the ability to move quickly when necesary—though something red that goes vroom continues to appeal.

BTW, one of our cars is an 85 Toyota SR5. It keeps running and running and running. It's outlasted at least four cars.
