Tire Help!

Tire Help!

Thinking of investing in a new set of tires... and I know I haven't been on here for a while so I wanted to just give a general shout out to how awesome this site is and what I've been doing too.

Got accepted to the University of California, Davis and been up there, sucks that they don't let freshman drive and since I'm from San Diego it wasn't worth it to sneak my car up. My brother has been "taking care" of my car which consists of NOT washing it, NOT cleaning it... so I'm pissed whenever I come back haha, but I'm going to bring it up this coming Fall Quarter '07 so for sure it's gona be good. If you're up in NorCal and/or go to UCD then maybe we'll see each other around.

Anyways, I'm gona take off my set of wheels and switch some stock ones back on for my brother to use and bash around (wish I did this earlier!!!) but I wanted to purchase something along the lines of the Kumho ASX's High Performance but also all-weather (that's about the extent of my tire knowledge) because my friend has a stock Accord that hydroplaned on the 80 and trust me... not a fun experience. If I could get some general information I would be grateful, along with difference between touring and high performance? Any suggestions, etc.

I have 17" rims that I'm going to be keeping, but wrapping a new set of tires on, if you could help me out with info it would be great. Thanks again SolaraGuy community!

(Also, what's the difference between the Kumho ASX, SPT, and SUPRA editions? Any other brand suggestions would be helpful too, I've just used Kumho's so far and they've been good to me, but if you have brand preferences let me know!)
