As of now I doubt there are any plans to put those engines in the solara. The 3mz will suit the solara just fine, not to mention those engines are going to be based on a RWD chassis

aha! I told you the jgtc version of the engine had to be released =P of course, it's not as well tuned 0_0

No wonder they took out the 3s-gte from the jgtc... they wanted to see how well the 3uz-fe @ 5.2L could do :D
1GR-FE ftw!

But doesn't JGTC require only 2.0L engines only? Or am I mistaking that with another curcuit.

No... depending on engine displacement, you are allowed to use forced induction or natural aspiration.

In years passed, Toyota has used the 3S-GTE 2.2 L in their Supra in the 500+ HP grouping. This year, they changed to the 3UZ-FE but bored it out to 5.2 L. It is run N/A due to the regulations for large displacement engines. The NSX 3.5L runs N/A and the RB26DETT runs Twin Turbo. Yet the NSX and Supra (prev years and current) have beat the Skyline. But the Skyline did win a higher altitude race... seeing that N/A pretty much chokes... heh. I think the 2.0L engines only maybe be the CART/IRL
1GR-FE ftw!
