How to tell the Wood Color you have in your Solara?

Postby Goldfinger » Sun Jun 08, 2003 7:55 am

:-? Hello everyone,

This is my first post, and i have a fairly simple question.
How do i tell the color of wood interior? I've looked through the owners manual, car dealer don't seem to know. I guess my only option is to call Toyota Motors (USA).
Model: Gold Dust (2003), Beige Interior... Light brown wood......

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance, and i look forward to maybe meeting some other Solara Owners in the DC METRO AREA.

Take care,
Goldy

I think they changed the color of the wood trim from gen 1 to gen 1.5 because I notice my friend's has a darker tone (unless it was a choice or something) If it's the same as the colors for the SC 430, the lighter, more yellowish one is called "Bird's Eye Maple" while the darker redish one is called "California Walnut".

Thank you, and that's the color.. Next question, know a place that's sells this type of addtional wood kits, looking for it!

Ps. I tried www.exoticwoods.com , kinda high in price, anything cheaper would be excellent.

Thanks again,

Does anyone know where to get the kit by the piece? My center console surround is messed up by the sun so I'm looking for that perticular piece only.... THanks!

You can probably ask if they are willing to sell only the center console part, but I doubt it (unless they add ridiculous mark-up)
