I have a 99 V6 Solara and I'm not pleased with the suspension. I find it takes potholes poorly to the point that my CD player often skips and the suspension is real noisy. Could my problem be the struts. I have about 50,000 miles on the car. Also what are good replacement tires. I have the stock rims and would like to experiment with a different type of tire other than the factory ones.

The suspensions are already soft.

It's the CD player's problem. I was so pissed I just went out and bought an Alpine haha... Anyways.

I haven't had problems with my CD player yet with skipping. I have the 6-Disc changer (with the useless audio tape player :) )

could be struts, but i'd also get your alignment done. i had a lot of road noise and harsh suspension, so after i got aftermarket wheels/tires, i got a 4-wheel align at the toyota dealership for 65 bucks and its much smoother..just an idea
