LR Sliding Pin Broke - Can't get out of Torque Plate - Help
Was changing my brakes this past weekend and on the last wheel, the sliding pin with the rubber bushing (on the torque plate) broke when I was trying to loosen it. I Figured, no big deal, I would just pull out the rest and buy a new one from Toyota. Low an behold, I can't seem to get the rest of the pin out of the caliper. Any suggestions?
I tried a little 6-in-1 oil and vise grips on the nub. I do not have a table vise, therefore am limited to whatever torque my arms can apply. I thought that maybe heating it may work, but I do not have a propane torch either, and not sure that this would even work if I got one.
At this moment, I have the torque plate in the freezer, thinking that this may help. Please let me know any other suggestions. Thank you
