Last weekend i did the diy coolant flush (i've been doing these diy's since 98 - so i know what i did wan't out of the norm). Anyhow, this weekend it rained crazy and i was driving normally and i see my temp guage go up and up! Since i didn't have a shoulder and was travelling on a two way traffic road..i could not stop..and by the time a side-road came my temp guage was in the RED!

I stopped the car, opened the hood and checked the usual (coolant, fans and to see if everything was plugged in). All checked out ok! Anyhow, I restarted the car and the temp. guage was normal! Drove all weekend and the temp/ guage was NORMAL!. Normally, i'd suspect a failing thermostat relay? But this is a 30K mile car???? Bottom line, its been normal thereafter..and all this morning. I suspect the rain to have caused something like this to happen...If I have more occurances like such, its def. going to the dealership since i still have the warranty (and still in warranted till 90K miles - phew for extended warranties). Anything to be concerned about.....
