debaging is something we've discussed before. it's very simple. just use a hairdryer to heat up the sticky tape on the back of the symbols and use a piece of floss to remove the badges. try a search too.

I moved mine to about 5 inches lower on the trunk... something different and unique. I wanted to try debadging and it worked (hair dryer and floss) and tape it back just for the hell of it. It's pretty neat and worth it Although I could have totally gone without them I wanted my Solara to be different than the others. My boyfriend has a Stratus with no badges and you cannont tell on his or my car where the badges used to be.

Does that leave any scratch marks on the car at all? I have a Black Solara and it scratches very easily. how long would i have to have the hair dryer on there for?

just till it warms up the sticky 2-way tape on the back of the symbol. flossing these emblems off will NOT leave scratches on the car. if you do, then you're flossin' too hard...

I guess it would depend on how many watts the hair dryer is.
I used a 1600W hair dryer on it for 30-45 secs then used a high test fishing string, using a sawing motion to remove mine and it didn't leave any scratches at all. My car was 3 years old when I took them off so you could see where the paint was slightly darker under the badging. It didn't take too long for mother nature to work that out though. If it does leave any tiny marks (shouldn't) refer to the thread on Washing and Waxing a Car here: http://www.zer0.info/solaraguy/viewtopic.php?t=4954 After you lift the badging off you will probably be left with some of the adhesive on the car. I used Goo-Gone to remove it. -JoeB
