RULE #1: Make sure that someone is going faster than you. It's is a good thing to get passed every so often. That way the cop up ahead will be busy when you roar by.

RULE #2: Plead not guilty. Maybe the cop won't show up in court. Maybe the judge will let you plea bargain down to a seat belt infraction. It's always worth a shot.

RULE #3: USE NJ LEGAL BRIBE SYSTEM WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

Jai,

You're right, it's common sense and everyone knows speeding will result in tickets. Some people lack common sense and the original poster is one of them.

I agree

Postby G_Unit » Tue Oct 14, 2003 12:00 pm

I agree that speeding is sometimes irresponsible, but some people will always be in a hurry. I wont lie, I am always running late, so I SPEED, like a demon, but only when it is clear, no traffic, and I just try to be cautious, I dont act reckless. But sometimes, accidents happen. I hit a freaking deer last week, and now I have 6,000 G's worth of damage to my vehicle, sucks. I was speeding, thank god, actually, cuz the deer flipped over the car, instead of deciding it was going to become a part of the cabin. I dont know if speeding saved me or not, but I am thankful what ever it was. Just my opinion. (So am a genius too!!! ) :bday:

Tickets are tickets. You're gonna get caught speeding sooner or later. Just make sure you have an excuse, such as 'I'm a beach lifeguard' or 'This isn't my car, and I don't have my license.' Those two work. Oh, and to anyone with a cell phone when driving: If you can take the time to call on your cell phone and tell the police you were cut off on the bridge, try removing your head from your @$$ first. Thanks.

Very true. I also had a terrible week of driving a couple weeks ago. First I got the ticket while racing the mustang (more about that in racing stores) then the very next day I made the mistake of passing a Major on a one lane road on the way to work. He was a total dick and went very far out of his way to ruin my day, and ended up taking my car keys away!! (way out of his jurisdiction sp?) Then I got pulled over in San Diego because my geinus friend who was following me, tried to warn me that a cop was driving in my blind spot by FLASHING HIS HIGH BEAMS. Yes, I don't know what he was thinking either. Anyway the cop pulled me over and tried very hard to give me a DUI, breathalized me and everything, but I hadn't been drinking so it was all good, just a big pain in the as.s. Then I went to court for my previous ticket, 70 in a 45, and AFTER I paid the ticket the clerk told me I was ineldigeable for traffic school b/c AZ has different laws than California. The moral of the story is of course, don't speed, its very expensive! But has anyone here ever got a ticket in a different state than they are lisenced in? I've heard that sometimes your insurance company wont find out about it, anyone have any insight?
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

yes...don't speed or if you speed learn to identify cop cars.. i myself learned how to indetify cars by their headlight patterns. since most cop cars in california are either crown vics or in some cases caprices, both of which have easily identifiable headlight turn signal patterns, though other ford products have similar patterns as the crown vic. but yea, if you don't get many tickets they automatically renew your license which is great so you don't have to go back to the dmv for re-testing you can do it over the internet or in the mail, which in itself might be worth not getting tickets....

i have got three tickets till date.. all LAME
2 for going 40 on a 30 mile trap. (TRAP= suddenly on a 65 highway (not freeway) you have a 30 mile zone
and once taking a U turn to get into parking (that cop was an A$$)

unfortunately I got traffic school during all three times (once i got traffic school 2 months apart, in CA you have a 18 month rule)

so i paid up all three times, i didnt take a chance with going to court since traffic school assured that it wont get on my record.

But yeah, I am strictly against Speeding and endangering lives specially on street roads.

Yes B_Master_Flash, I got two tickets when I was back in Texas and when I went to the insurance company here in Oklahoma they couldn't get hold of those tickets, although I have Texas driving license.

Also one of my friends has 7 warrants on him when he was back in Texas. Last week a cop stopped him for drag racing here in Oklahoma and didn't say anything about the warrants from Texas. I was really surprised for that coz I thought the system is linked.
