wheel alignment@pepboys and brake pads!

Postby boneezy » Wed Sep 03, 2003 9:29 pm

yea just to add on... i still have my stock pads and im at 48K, i bought the 40 dollar PFC carbon-metallic brake pads at autozone like 3-4 months ago?... i heard these were pretty good from the guys at autozone (go figure), but no one that i know of has em, any takers?

also, i switched the pads on each rotor at around 40k... meaning, i put the inside pad out, and outside pad in, and then i put that brake-goo stuff on the shims and pads....... was this a good idea?.. i was just trying to prolong the life of my pads, that gap in the middle of my pads was still pretty good....but i wasnt sure if it was such a good idea....thanks

Yeah I never heard of rotating brake pads. Let us know if your brakes fail or if your wheels fall off or anything, jk.

I'm sure you'll be fine though :D

I am at 70K and my brake pads are still thick like new! prolly because many miles I drove were freeway miles that need no braking :D
