'99 Solara SE V6 Airbag Problems

I was wondering if anyone else has had any airbags replaced because of the airbag light coming on? My problems started at just under 60,000 miles with the light blinking in a slow steady pace. The dealer ended up replacing my passenger door airbag. Now 5 months later I have the same problem again. They tell me it's a problem with the passenger front airbag now, but the part is on back-order. Both times Toyota has good-willed the parts and labor for replacement. I had to pay the diagnostic charges. It sounds kind of fishy that 2 airbags would have to be replaced. I did a VIN check and no serious accidents or flood damage were reported. :(

10 years down the road, do you expect the airbags components (such as the explosive) still work? It's good that they get replaced now.
