OK, so it's not a quality thing. I was worried, I got mine on sale a while back, but haven't had funds to get struts yet.

The MacPherson (strut) setup always has shock absorbers as part of the assembly (as you can see, shock is not strut, shock can be itself or part of a strut). Cars have shock absorbers because its primary objective is to prevent the car from oscilliating (back and forth) and prevent wheel hop (wheel floats in mid air) which can be dangerous. To make it easy for all of you, your Solaras have less parts of the suspension to deal with, with the tradeoff of only moderate handling.

Take, for example, you bought some Ebay shock absorbers (which never existed for the Solara), and you installed them, only to find out that your car is having an orgasmic experience while on the freeway. For the car maybe, but certainly not the people sitting in it. That's basically what the shock absorber does.

You will learn allot on this site. Like how I learned to know that Tokico STRUTS are the best STRUTS for our cars before a coilover setup.

You learn something new every time you sign on.

Thanks for the explination/clairification GR!

I didn't see your post....I did get the warranty stuff and turned it in. I think If I were to sell them to someone the warranty would void since it's non transferable? Most warranties are like that. I would just buy new ones if you don't trust the source were they are coming from. I got mines from the sticky on this site. Decent price and got them quick.
