1.5 front end on 1999

First off, I did use search. I know this has been done. But I am looking to see if anyone has an actual clue as to the feasibility of this idea.
On Monday, I had a slight fender bender, and by slight, I mean my front end was smashed to pieces. I need to replace my headlights, bumper, fenders, hood, grille, radiator, radiator/front support, and all parts that go along with these. If I purchase all of these parts for 2002, will the shop be able to just bolt them on as they would with '99 parts? And if so, does anyone have a '02 front clip for sale? :drinking:

As far as I know, its plug and play until you get to the headlights, whereby they have separate bulbs for high and low beam, where the Gen 1 only has a dual filament bulb. I'm sure some wire splicing would be required, if not new wires completely. Would you go with the 1.5 tail lights or do you have altezzas? I would probably keep the Gen 1 rears because they are clean and not as busy-looking as the 1.5s. Only other problem I forsee concerns resale value and what happens when a "sharp" salesperson (if there is such a thing anymore) calls you on the swap.
Anyway, sorry to hear about the accident, it sucks when your baby gets hurt. Seems like you made it through in one piece. Good Luck!

Yes,

Its all bolt on. only thing is the headlight like he mentioned above. The wiring is diff. But if you have the Toyota Repair Manual you can figure out the wiring and it should be no problems.

But wouldn't that be like another 10 grand added on? I mean I don't the prices of the cars but it would be cheaper to buy the front clip instead of buying a 1.5. Even though it is easier. If it were me I'd just go with the front clip cuz I've thought about that myself many times.

Hey let me know where you're gonna all the parts. And how much it ran you. I've always liked the gen 1.5 front over the gen 1.
